Glossary
Fancy grade
For coloured diamonds the fancy grade describes the interplay of tone and saturation in nine levels: Faint, Very Light, Light, Fancy Light, Fancy, Fancy Intense, Fancy Vivid, Fancy Deep and Fancy Dark. Fancy Vivid stands for especially luminous, saturated colour; Fancy Deep and Fancy Dark for darker tones. Together with the hue it forms the full colour statement, for example «Fancy Intense Purplish Pink».
